Subaru Impreza

The all-new Impreza received its world premiere in New York and with it a whole new strategy for the car, certainly when it comes to the European market. Although a four-door saloon version was displayed at the show, we're told that we will only receive the five-door hatchback and possibly an estate version.



Not only that, it looks like the WRX tag may be dropped from the European range too, with more focus on the mainstream hatch market rather than the niche rally-replica segment. The new five-door is certainly distinctive and having sat inside, it's obvious that Subaru has the likes of the Honda Civic and Toyota Auris in its sights with enhanced quality a major priority.



It's not all bad news though for car enthusiasts, as there should be a fire-breathing STi version of the hatch, with four-wheel drive and about 300bhp...
