For most of us, the new open-topped version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom will never be anything other than a flight of fancy, but what a flight! Imagine the look on your date's face as you wafted into view, the imposing Rolls-Royce grille shining in the streetlights.
Admittedly, a convertible car at this time of year is a tad optimistic, but no doubt the heaters are good. It will be worth the battle with the elements to make such a grand entrance. Such small details as the solid teak hood cover and the brushed steel bonnet and windscreen surround won't go unnoticed.
However, the deal sealer will be when you open the door for your date to 'board'. The doors open backwards. Rolls-Royce calls this design a 'coach door' from the days of coach and horses, so your chivalry should go down a storm. If that doesn't work, there is room to chill a bottle of champagne too...
