Swiss tuning company, Rinspeed, is a regular Geneva Motor Show exhibitor, but usually its bonkers show cars are actually based on real-world models; not this year. Rinspeed teamed up with a series of suppliers to produce a completely bespoke concept car called the eXasis.
Like those transparent Swatch watches that show off their innards, Rinspeed wanted to produce a completely see-through car. Advanced plastics and composites were employed throughout and the result is breathtaking. The car's insect-like, transparent yellow-tinged body with exposed wheels looks like a mix of the legendary Auto-Union racing cars from the first half of the last century and an off-road vehicle. The cigar form silhouette is crowned in the rear with an integrated ventilator and a highly polished Remus exhaust.
As with all of Rinspeed's show cars, there is little chance of series production, though if you have a serious pile of cash, then we believe that Rinspeed would be more than happy to discuss making you a one-off...
