Horatio Pagani used to work at Lamborghini and is respected as one of the world's experts in the use of carbon fibre. His artistry with the lightweight, Formula One and aerospace industry material is so good that Bugatti is said to have approached him to produce parts for its Veyron. He apparently refused, instead concentrating on his own supercar, the Zonda. Only a handful of his creations have been produced, with several different versions offered throughout its life. Each is powered by an AMG-tweaked 7.3-litre V12 engine from Mercedes-Benz, which, when combined with the Zonda's lightweight body makes for jaw-dropping performance.
However, it's not the performance that will wow most people; it's the looks. The Zonda is a supercar from the old school, it never failing to turn heads. It's a beautifully crafted machine too, the interior a real work of art. It's this as much as the performance that attracts buyers, Wyclef Jean having one in his 37-car collection. We wonder if it's parked next to his McLaren F1...
