The Mini’s far too cute to be turned into a fire-spitting 500bhp drag strip hero, right? Wrong, just like the madcap limo XXL above some thinking outside the Mini box has created a one of a kind car. This time it’s a quarter-mile monster. Built by Fireball Tim, from Fireball Tim Racing (FTR) – Mini USA supplied FTR a carbon-fibre body, a John Cooper tuning kit and some other accessories to help produce this wild machine. A bit of tweaking under the bonnet, including both super and turbocharging, as well as nitrous allows this super hot Cooper S to cover the quarter mile in just 11.26 seconds.
As this lightened and boosted Cooper S crosses the timing post it’ll be travelling at 121mph, making this the ultimate Mini for the traffic light grand prix. We imagine it’s not much use around town, but who cares with all that power on tap?
