Despite the hype over Aston Martin's wickedly quick DBR9 the thundering Corvettes have kept the British challengers at bay at LeMans. A combination of fearsome pace, bomb-proof reliability and a highly capable driver line-up makes the Corvette effort a formidable force at the 24 hour race. You have to hear the Corvettes going Mulsanne straight to believe the noise, actually, you don't hear them as such - you feel them vibrating every cell in your body as the approach. It's this that makes them such a popular team at the French classic.

And the Corvette ZO6 road car is the perfect car to enjoy at LeMans. There's plenty of grunt from its 506bhp 7.0-litre V8 for the inevitable burnouts going through Arnage on the Friday night and it looks sensational too.
