Rolls-Royce's Drophead Coupé isn't exactly a common sight, but for Roland Hall the standard, £315,000 car isn't quite exclusive enough. Thankfully Pininfarina's Special Projects Division exists, Hall commissioning the firm to design a bespoke one-off machine based on Rolls-Royce's drop-top. The Hyperion is the result and it was unveiled at Pebble Beach, California, this weekend. Among its unique appointments it features a removable Girad-Perregaux timepiece and a space in front of the windscreen to hold two hunting rifles.
The Hyperion is completely re-bodied in carbon fibre, the lines more flowing than the chiselled square-cut lines of the standard car. The shape is meant to evoke the appeal of 1930s cars, Pininfarina even going so far as to create one-off head and tail lamps for the Hyperion. Such detailing is scarily expensive, neither Pininfarina nor owner Hall revealing how much the Hyperion costs. Think in the realm of many millions, the Hyperion's price tag certain to make everything else in this list look rather affordable.
