Honda Puyo

If everyone were as obsessed with friendliness as Japanese concept car designers the world would unquestionably be a happier place. In Honda's words the PUYO aims to: 'convey all that is warm and friendly and put a smile on the face of users and pedestrians'. Its shape is defined by the ambition to build a car with no corners, the 'Seamless Soft Box' shape is not only space efficient but also pleasing to look at. With a gel body it's actually soft too, being friendly to pedestrians. The lights shine through its innovative gel bodywork, while also highlighting doors and other functions.

Inside, the steering wheel is replaced by a joystick, while the instrument panel contains elastic-like controls made from cloth that rise up when the PUYO is started. Powering this friendly machine is a hydrogen fuel cell drivetrain, the PUYO not just friendly to the people in and around it, but the environment too.
