Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H
It's standard practice for Ford to wheel Carroll Shelby out on stage at the US motor shows to accompany the launch of a new concept or sports car developed in conjunction with the living legend. The New York Show continued this trend with the revealing of a new version of the successful Mustang, named the GT-H.
Some of our readers will have their memories jogged by the 'GT-H' tag. H stands for Hertz, and yes, this Mustang is destined to be a rental car. That may sound mad, but the publicity stunt is merely a copy of something Ford and Hertz pulled of in the late sixties with huge success.
Only 500 examples of the GT-H will be made and they will only be available at selected Hertz outlets throughout America. The special edition features distinctive black paintwork with gold stripes and 'Shelby GT-H' emblazoned on the sides. An added sporty touch is a Shelby bonnet complete with pins usually reserved for motorsport.
