BMW drivers' alloy wheels will never again be fouled by dogs thanks to the German firm's latest development.
The new Canine Repellent Alloy Protection (CRAP) system is part of BMW's EfficientDynamics package and uses recycled energy.
It works by using energy stored during braking to work the Rim Impulse Power (RIP) system.
The RIP delivers a small electric shock to any dog that tries to foul against the wheel.
BMW's head of automotive research, Hans Zoff, says: "Our customers like to keep their wheels clean and the CRAP system supports this."
