SEAT's show stand in Paris next month will literally have something for everyone, as range-topping Cupra hot hatch and fuel-sipping Ecomotive versions of the Ibiza supermini make their world debut.
The Ecomotive model has been tweaked for low fuel consumption and emissions, with a CO2 figure of 99g/km. Utilising a 79bhp 1.4-litre TDI engine, the Ecomotive model features modified aerodynamics and low rolling resistance tyres to achieve greater efficiencies.
Enthusiasts may be more interested in the new Cupra model. It's the most powerful version of the new Ibiza yet thanks to a new 178bhp twin-turbo version of the 1.4-litre TSI engine, yet fuel consumption and emissions should be less than in its predecessor thanks to the low engine capacity.
SEAT's designers have further enhanced the Ibiza's sporty looks with unique bumpers, five-spoke 17-inch alloys and a centrally-mounted exhaust outlet.
Further details on both new Ibizas will be revealed in Paris.
