Cute Honda concept car features unicycle

Future-looking concept cars are traditionally a bit left field and nobody does them better than the Japanese. With the Tokyo show only a few weeks away, details of the show's concept cars are trickling out and this one from Honda particularly caught our attention. That's partly due to the cute retro-style lines inspired by Honda's 1960's N360 micro car, but also the fact that inside it's got space for one of Honda's brilliant UX-3 gyroscopic robot unicycles. As if driving this battery-powered city car isn't cool enough you can wow bystanders when you get out and scoot off riding on Honda's amazing robotic unicycle. It's stored in the passenger door, and at first glance looks like a pair of speakers.

The EN-V is a great choice for the indecisive too, as it features swappable seat covers - though we reckon the blue tartan effect is going a bit too far (and this from a Scottish writer). Like every concept these days it's powered by lithium ion batteries and the solar panels on the EV-N's roof helps keep them topped up and the interior cool. Sadly this plug-in retro machine isn't planned for production, but we think if Honda built it the production lines wouldn't be able to keep up with demand.
