Ford has confirmed that jobs in its UK factories are safe after the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover to Tata.
The giant USA-based car firm makes engines at the Welsh factory, which will continue to be supplied to both Jaguar and Land Rover.
Two thousand people are employed at the Bridgend plant building V8 engines for top-of-the-range Jaguars and Land Rover models.
A spokesman for Ford said: "We are very proud of our Welsh factory and the quality of the workforce and the engines they build."
The £1.15 billion deal signed by Ford and Tata to hand over control of Jaguar and Land Rover to the Indian company includes an agreement for Ford to carry on supplying engines.
Ford has also agreed that it will continue to fund dealers, finance schemes and warranties for a fixed period while Tata establishes control of the British companies.
