Most London motorshows use billboard advertising and those little ads on the Tube, but not Top Gear Live. In keeping with its name, the motley crew mounted a tank and crossed London Bridge to launch the show's tour.
Jeremy Clarkson was joined by Richard Hammond and James May on the special black-painted tank, as they entered the capital waving to fans and stunning other motorists. It's unclear if the tank was liable to the Congestion Charge...
London hosts the first of the Top Gear Live shows in Earls Court from 30 October to 2 November before the team decamp to the NEC in Birmingham between 13-16 November and then to Dublin in Ireland for a further three days.
Visitors to the show pay between £38 and £105 for entry to the 75-minute show, which the organisers promise will allow fans to "watch the team unleash automotive mayhem, take on crazy challenges, preside over breathtaking stunts and engage in hilarious motoring tomfoolery". The famous Stig is also set to make an appearance.
