Peugeot's current family style includes a 'gaping mouth' grille at the front, but if the preliminary images of the RC hybrid concept are anything to go by then it's likely that the French company is about to revamp its look and the replacement for the 407 saloon could be a lot more curvaceous than what has gone before.
Though the RC hybrid (its full name will be revealed in Paris) takes on the appearance of a svelte coupé - vaguely reminiscent of the Audi R8 - it is in fact a four-door car. Along with that practicality it utilises a hybrid powertrain.
Peugeot has not released full details of the car's powertrain other than to say that 313bhp is available to the driver, while CO2 emissions are an incredibly low 109g/km. We expect that the concept will feature a new high-powered V6 turbodiesel alongside an electric motor-generator. Like the Toyota company's hybrids, the RC can run solely on electric power for short periods.
