Land Rover LRX

Coupés are unquestionably the talk of the show, so Land Rover has brought along two versions of its LRX concept to wow show-goers at Geneva. The first is the same car that stormed the Detroit show, resplendent in its white paintwork. The second LRX shows off its darker side, featuring a more sinister black paint scheme with a silver roof. Land Rover claims its differently coloured concepts show 'interesting new opportunities for vehicle personalisation', though with the original concept gaining such admiration at its unveiling, the British firm is gauging public reaction in Europe to its three-door concepts - with a view to possible production.

It's not just the smart coupé style that's significant for the 4x4 manufacturer; the LRX is the perfect showcase for possible future transmission technologies, including hybrid and bio-fuel capable models. If Land Rover is to survive in an ever-increasing green world such technology needs to be embraced, and if it's in vehicles that look as good as the LRX then we're all for it.
