The Ydea is the highest specification electric car available in the UK today, but it comes at a price. We reckon it will cost the best part of £17,000, but, if you want to do your bit for the environment and you only need a city car, then perhaps that won't put you off, even if it won't appeal to real penny-pinchers.

A massive 105-mile range lets the Ydea stand apart from all other competitors. The extended range is due to the fitment of lithium-ion batteries that are powerful, as well has having an estimated lifespan of ten years. Not only that; we think that the Ydea is the most normal looking of the cars featured here. Inside, a lot of effort has been put into making the occupants feel as if they're in a normal car too, with such niceties as electric windows and leather upholstery. Some models even have parking sensors.
