BMW's M3 is well known for its hard-edged focus on driving pleasure, but there's always room in the range for more and for the next six months BMW will produce the M3 Edition models. They're coming to the UK too.
Available in Alpine White, Dakar Yellow or Monte Carlo Blue, the special editions' interiors feature colour coded inserts, along with a black chrome grille and other mild external styling tweaks - including the standard fitment of 19-inch forged alloy wheels (available in three different finishes) and black chrome on the quad exhaust pipes.
Changes under the skin are milder, with a 10mm drop in the ride height adding to the car's menacing stance, while also lowering the centre of gravity for better stability.
The 414bhp V8 engine has not been changed, though buyers of the Edition models can choose between a six-speed manual and the M-DCT dual-clutch transmission.
Pricing for the M3 Edition starts at £53,435 and it will only be available as a two-door coupé.
