MINI will unveil an amazing new roadster at the Frankfurt Show in September. The model, which has no official name as yet, will be very near to production-ready when it hits the show stand in Germany.
It will be even more sporty and driver-focussed than the MINI Cabriolet, offering sharper handling by way of a lower offline and lower centre of gravity.
The newcomer swells the MINI line-up to five confirmed models, including the hatch, Clubman and Convertible currently on sale, as well as the forthcoming 'Crossman' 4x4, due to appear in 2010.
The Roadster model line-up will stick with the current setup, with MINI likely to utilise the same engine strategy as it did with the Convertible: offering range-topping Cooper S and JCW versions first, before rolling out lesser variants later on.
