Thanks to Lexus, the buyer needing four doors, over 400bhp and has about £50,000 to spend has suddenly got a lot more choice.
This week we got behind the wheel of the new Lexus IS F, the company's first really sporty model. Here it gets to meet its three key rivals, along with Vauxhall's wildcard entry. All five cars featured are powered by V8 engines with at least 400bhp.
