MINI Clubman
The reinvented
MINI brand is more about style and image than it is about practical motoring, but the all-new MINI Clubman hopes to offer its buyers the best of both worlds, though it wouldn't be a MINI if it didn't have a few unusual features.
There's a new 'club' door, but on just one side of the car, which is strange in itself. That extra door allows easier access into the rear seats, where occupants can stretch out in comfort - relative to the cramped hatchback version in any case. There will be space for more luggage too, with that distinctive rear end housing more cargo than before.
We suspect, however, that buyers of the Clubman will be as interested in its individual styling. It may share its nose with the hatchback, but from the windscreen back it's quite different. It could become
the car to be seen in next year.
