The driver and passenger have their own snug compartments, surrounded by the wraparound glass windscreens. The Concept S was created by Luc Donckerwolke, head of design at the Centro Stile Lamborghini in Sant Agata, Bologna. His inspiration for the sauté vent windscreen came from classic single-seater racecars. Sorrowfully, there is no chance we'll see anything as radical as the Concept S on the road, as Lamborghini has categorically stated that the show car will be a one-off, in the same vein as the 350 GTS and the achingly beautiful Miura Roadster.
Don't lose heart though, as we suspect Lamborghini will make an open-top version of the Gallardo, with a more conventional soft-top or targa-style lift-out roof panels. The Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster has been a success, and it is likely that Lamborghini would want to rival Ferrari's new F430 Spider, also shown in Geneva. It is likely that we will see some aspects of the Concept S though - the show car features front and rear spoilers and a large rear diffuser that lend it a sharper edge than even the edgy Gallardo.
