What's all the fuss about?
This is yet another good looking little car from Kia, and although it doesn't seem that different to the new Soul at first sight, the No 3 is a mini MPV with oodles of space and style; Kia really is having a resurgence.
Any new technology?
Perhaps not on the technology front, but there are some quirky little innovations on the No 3, not least the off-kilter diagonal roof pillar running across the panoramic glass panel. The five-seater has a high driving position and a one-box shape, but aims to combine genuine sportiness with cute proportions and tardis-like interior space. At present we don't know anything other than how great Kia thinks it looks. We agree, but some engine and drivetrain info would have been nice.
Will it ever see the light of day?
The roof means drivers will see plenty of light, that's for sure, and there's every chance it will indeed see the light of Kia's ever more stylish showrooms. The biggest clue to Kia's production intention actually lies in the name: according to the maker, the name 'is related to the production car's position in the future Kia model line-up.' So, not a clue so much as a direct confirmation then.
