Nissan's luxury brand, Infiniti, arrives in the UK later this year and spearheading the line-up is the new G37 Convertible. Full equipment specifications for the folding hardtop equipped four-seater have been announced.
The range is split simply between GT and GT Premium models, which may not sound like a lot of choice, but they're both comprehensively equipped.
GT versions come as standard with 19-inch alloys, a wind deflector, active cornering bi-Xenon headlights, dual-zone adaptive climate control and keyless entry, along with heated and electrically adjusted leather seats.
On the infotainment side, the G37 Convertible is the first Infiniti to feature the company's new 'Connectiviti' system. In GT guise that means a CD stereo with MP3 playback capability, a 2Gb music storage system with iPod and USB compatibility, Bluetooth telephony with voice control, parking sensors and a rear view camera.
The GT Premium model benefits from Connectiviti+, which incorporates a larger 10Gb hard drive for music, plus a 30Gb hard drive based satellite navigation system featuring '3D Points of Interest' supplied by the Michelin Green Guide. Apparently this is the world's first use of this system in a car.
Both models are powered by the same 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine, putting out 316bhp to the rear wheels. Performance stats include a 0-62mph time of 6.2 seconds (when fitted with the manual gearbox) and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
One of the few optional extras available is a seven-speed automatic gearbox with magnesium paddle shifters.
Pricing details will be released closer to the car going on sale in the UK in September.
