Now we're beginning to feel old! Until Hyundai announced that its latest concept car was aimed at Generation Y (twenty-somethings), it was hip to be part of Generation X... Anyway, the Veloster is one of two concepts on Hyundai's show stand this year and it's thought that aspects of the show car's design will make it into the showroom too.
The concept's name is a combination of 'velocity' and 'roadster' and would work very well on a production car. The design of the coupe itself is quite futuristic, though it's easy to see how it could be toned down for production. It shares several design cues with Honda's REMIX concept of last year, although the nose features an upside down trapezoid shape you'll have noticed on all the latest Ford and Mitsubishi concepts.
We're hoping that the Veloster signals a design revolution from the Korean company. Its concepts are as distinctive and stylish as any other car maker's, so let's see them on the road please Hyundai.
