BMW took the wraps off its third and final member of the M3 family, the Convertible, at the Geneva show.
The M3 Convertible has a folding metal roof that works in the same way as other 3 Series drop-tops.
The roof adds 135kg to the Convertible's weight compared to the M3 Coupé, but performance is still very rapid.
The M3 Convertible covers 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds and heads on to an electronically limited 155mph top speed.
BMW has strengthened the M3 drop-top's bodywork to cope with the 414bhp 4.0-litre V8 engine's considerable output.
The Convertible is expected to cost around £55,000 when it goes on sale in the UK in early summer.
It will be the first of the M3 range to have the option of a seven-speed sequential manual gearbox, called M Double Clutch Transmission, which will then be offered on the rest of the M3 range towards the end of the year. It's expected to be a £2,500 option.
