Wales gets Toyota engine boost

North Wales is to receive a £88 million cash boost from Toyota.

The Japanese firm is investing the money in the Deeside region at a plant that will build a new 1.3-litre engine.

This is the second large investment Toyota has made in its North Wales plant in the last year.

Executive vice president of Toyota, Tokuichi Uranishi, said: "This investment recognises the quality of the UK workforce and demonstrates Toyota's confidence in our UK investment."
