Honda Integra Type-R, Furious engine within

Even in Type-R guise you could be forgiven for missing Honda's Integra. That's arguably part of its appeal; however if you're a Fast and Furious fan it's likely you'll see its standard looks and stock white paint (there are some black and red ones about, too) as a blank canvas for something a bit more overt. The Integra is front-wheel drive, which means that this is no power-oversteer drift machine, but it rewards in other ways. The steering is super sharp and precise, allowing you to place this compact coupé anywhere you want it on road or track.

Key to the Integra's appeal though is its phenomenal 1.8-litre V-TEC engine, which never seems to run out of revs, giving the Type-R quite sensational pace. There are few front-wheel drive cars that deliver so much fun behind the wheel; the Integra Type-R ripe for some fast and furious driving even in standard guise. As they age they're becoming more affordable too. Honda's brilliant two-door screamer is certain to deliver huge grins from behind the wheel (held in tightly by snug sports seats) with your ears ringing as the engine reaches its lofty redline.

Integra from £2,500.
