It's usually the son who has to make the phone call that he's smashed up a car, but it was the other way round when Lewis Hamilton's dad crashed a Porsche supercar just yards from his front door.
Anthony Hamilton smashed the £330,000 Porsche Carrera GT through a neighbours hedge when he skidded off a corner in the village of Tewin, Hertfordshire.
Mr Hamilton, 47, managed to walk back home, but was said to be shaken.
He was reported to be seen revving the engine of the 205mph Porsche as he pulled out of his driveway, shortly before the crash.
Police have interviewed Mr Hamilton and confirmed that no one was injured.
