Proving that even the super rich aren't immune to the credit crunch, boat builder Pearl is offering a Bentley Continental GT with every order of its Pearl 60 luxury motor yacht. While we've heard of property developers offering a car on the drive on a new house to sweeten the deal it's more likely to be a supermini than a supercar. Perhaps we don't move in the right circles. A Continental would usually cost you £123,000 before options, but that's small change when you consider the £1m plus the Pearl 60 will raid your bank account for.
Not that you're not getting a substantial boat for that money, the Pearl 60 accommodating as many as eight guests and two crew, though they'll not all fit in the Bentley when you get to shore. The Pearl 60's output also monsters that of the Continental GT, the latter's 552bhp humbled by the 764bhp offered by the Pearl's Volvo engine. Actually that should be 'engines', as there are two of them, giving this floating house over 1,500bhp. Best negotiate yourself a Bentley Continental GT Speed then, with a healthier sounding 600bhp.
