A world leading violinist said thank you to the New York cabbie who found his priceless Stradivarius violin with a unique concert.
Grammy Award nominee Philippe Quaint said thank you by giving a 30 minute concert in the back of the cab just for the driver.
The cabbie, Mohammed Khalil, discovered the 285-year old violin in the back of his taxi after dropping Mr Quaint at Newark Liberty Airport near New York.
Mr Khalil handed the violin back to the New York Port Authority, who got in touch with Mr Quaint.
Afterwards, Mr Khalil said it was what any normal person would do, though he was very grateful for the one-off concert.
Mr Quaint said: 'I cannot describe the feeling that I was going through at the time as I was frantically looking for the violin the whole morning.'
The violin is one of a handful made by Antonio Stradivari and is estimated to be worth around £2 million.
