Every year, one of the car makers employs a designer to dream up a sculpture to occupy the space in front of Lord March's mansion itself. Photographs rarely do these pieces of art justice, so get yourself along to take a look. Last year was Toyota's turn and this year Land Rover takes over.
Celebrating its diamond jubilee and with the company buoyed by the recent takeover by Tata, the Land Rover structure will be over 35-metres high, which towers over Goodwood House and is the largest piece yet to mark the Festival. It's so tall that a flashing red light will warn aircraft of its presence. At the time of writing, Goodwood had yet to reveal images of the new structure.
