Citroen 2CV, For Your Eyes Only

Bond might be famous for his British sports cars but the secret agent seems to enjoy a destructive spin in French metal when he can. He destroyed a Renault 11 in The Living Daylights, but Bond's most memorable stint behind the wheel of a French car was the thrilling chase in For Your Eyes Only in a bright yellow Citroen 2CV. Famously designed to be able to drive across a ploughed field without breaking eggs in a basket, the 2CV's huge suspension travel was put to the test by Bond in one of the most dramatic film chase sequences ever.

Rolling the car twice, jumping roads and taking novel shortcuts through orchards the 2CV took Bond's punishment with ease, the utilitarian French machine more useful to Bond in the 1981 film than his usual Lotus Esprit. A hugely popular sequence, Citroen didn't miss a trick and marketed a 007 special edition, wearing fake bullet holes and emblazoned with 007 stickers. Just don't try rolling one...
