In the mid-nineties, BMW decided that the 007 brand would be a good one to be associated with and so started supplying cars for Bond. The first was in GoldenEye in 1995, when James drove a blue BMW Z3. Other than the standard missiles and radar, the Z3 had a fairly dull life and really isn't a Bond kind of car.

In the next Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies, James gets the keys to a much more becoming BMW 750iL saloon. Our favourite part of this movie is when Bond (played by Pierce Brosnan) controls the car via his PDA, summoning it to him and then cowering in the back while he outwits the obligatory stupid baddies. The climax is when Bond leaves the car and his pursuers think he's still in it when the BMW drives off the multi-storey car park and lands in a bakery.

A BMW Z8 was used in The World is Not Enough, but its most memorable scene is when it gets cut in two by a massive circular saw-wielding helicopter!
