Green technology needs wealthy early adopters to make it cheaper for the masses, and this collaboration between Fisker Coachbuild and Quantum Technologies is just the car to do that. Henrik Fisker has an impeccable design pedigree, being responsible for respected beauties like BMW's Z8, the Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage before setting up Fisker Automotive, Inc. Unsurprisingly, his latest car looks sensational. It's not just a good looker though, as it features plug-in hybrid technology from Quantum Technologies, meaning it's green, too.
Good looks and excellent environmental performance have until now been strange bedfellows, but Fisker describes his new machine as being 'eco-chic.' He's not wrong, and at an anticipated $100,000, being green and stylish at the same time isn't out of reach of a huge number of potential customers. Fisker and Quantum reckon they could make 15,000 examples of the luxurious eco car per year.
