Peugeot is all out for winning Le Mans in 2009, the French firm keen to break Audi's streak of dominance. That'll be no easy task, but you could show some support for the cause by rocking up to Le Mans in Peugeot's 407 Coupé HDI. Of all the gaping fish-mouthed styled Peugeots currently sells, the 407 Coupé wears its looks the most comfortably. The long overhangs work well on the coupé, its low roofline and pert tail making it a real head-turner. It'll also get you nods of appreciation from the French locals that line the route to Le Mans to wave through all the race traffic.
You'll not have to stop on the way there or back either, the 407 Coupé available with a 136bhp turbodiesel engine. That, when combined with a 67-litre fuel tank and an official combined economy figure of 48mpg, means you've a potential range of 707 miles in the stylish two-door. It's not too impractical for a coupé either, the rear seats actually able to accommodate passengers and the boot generous enough in proportions to squeeze in a tent and all the other camping gear you'll need.
