Ex-London Mayor Ken Livingstone's proposed £25 Congestion Charge has been ruled against in the courts.
Porsche challenged the legality of the potential charge, suggesting that it was not only unfair but completely disproportionate.
It seems the law agreed, as a signature of consent order by an administrative court in London has effectively ruled out the former Mayor's plans.
The order also included the award of legal costs, these thought to be a six-figure sum.
Porsche will donate the legal costs to British youth Charity Skidz, a project that takes at-risk young people and trains them as car mechanics.
Andy Goss, Managing Director of Porsche Cars Great Britain, said, “We were always confident that our legal case was right and that we would win in the end. The charge was clearly unfair and was actually going to increase emissions in London.”
He added “Porsche is proud to have played a decisive role in striking down such a blatantly political tax increase targeting motorists.”
