Volvo XC60

We're not fans of car makers bringing along a show car that is blatantly just a mildly pimped-up future showroom model and then called a 'concept', but the Volvo XC60 can't be ignored, as it is certain to be a sure-fire success when the production version is revealed in the next couple of years.

Volvo is actually marketing the XC60 as a crossover vehicle, a market segment that is burgeoning right now, especially in the States. The show car bears the distinctive Volvo style, with a strong shoulder line and a sleek upper half contrasted with the chunky wheels and pronounced wheelarches. The designers have also incorporated a bolder version of the Volvo badge at the front and it is set for production.

The XC60 show car features an interior with its influences very much in Scandinavia. The design is efficient and cool in the way Apple's iPod is.
