Vauxhall is set to launch its new Insignia family car at the British Motor Show in July and its Mondeo rival will be the first car to show off an all-new Griffin badge.
The new badge will then be added to the rest of Vauxhall's car line-up as each model is replaced by a new version.
Managing director of Vauxhall Bill Parfitt said: "The new-look Griffin pays homage to our 100-plus years of heritage in the UK and also encapsulates Vauxhall's new design philosophy showcased with the Insignia."
The bolder badge now has a black background with the mythical Griffin in silver and the 'Vauxhall' name picked out in black around the upper edge of the logo.
