Bond fan buys wrecked Aston Martin DBS

James Bond might have a penchant for wrecking the Aston Martins Q department give him, but it seems there's a market for the destroyed sports cars.

So much so a Bond fan has recently purchased a wrecked Aston Martin DBS that was written off in an accident while on location for filming of Quantum of Solace at Lake Garda, Italy.

The destroyed DBS was one of six cars used filming, though its time on screen was cut short when a Fraser Dunn, a technician on set, crashed the car through railings and plummeted into Lake Garda.

Dunn was unhurt after losing control of the 510bhp V12 supercar on wet roads, but the car was a complete write off.

Amazingly the wrecked DBS was snapped up by a Bond fan, who according to 007 actor Daniel Craig paid around £200,000 for it.

Craig made the comment when speaking to Glasgow's Daily Record newspaper, the £200,000 he mentions being around £38,000 more than you'd have to stump up for a new £162,500 Aston Martin DBS.
