New Edition to BMW range

BMW is boosting the appeal of its 1 and 3 Series ranges with the arrival of the Edition trim, which can be added to an ES, SE or M Sport model. The Edition trim is also an option for the Z4, but this will be restricted to a limited run of 300 of the roadster model.

For the 1 Series, Edition specification is available on 116i and 118d models for £250 and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats and steering wheel, as well as front fog lights. The Edition trim is offered on all four-cylinder 3 Series models and brings leather upholstery, brushed aluminium trim, 17-inch alloys and a multi-function steering wheel. This costs £750 and BMW says these extras would normally add up to £3,000 if specified individually.

The limited run Z4 comes in either Edition Exclusive or Edition Sport trim and both models feature leather interiors and larger alloy wheels. The Z4 Edition models go on sale in March, as do the 1 and 3 Series models.

BMW has also added the 520d Business Navigation to the 5 Series line-up. The 520d is the best selling car in the 5 Series range and for an extra £350 buyers can have the car with BMW Business satellite navigation, which normally costs £1,365. As part of the package, BMW also throws in a six-disc CD autochanger for free.
