The clocks have gone forward and despite what Mother Nature is telling us this week, we look forward to longer days and more sunshine. What better time to think about a new soft-top? Just in time for the summer rush, both Audi and BMW have launched new four-seat convertibles, pretty much defining a new sub-category of compact executive open-top cars, but they shouldn't have it all their own way in the class, especially of you don't actually need four seats or your budget is more economy than executive class.
