Renault Clio Campus
Renault's Clio has always been a bit of a bargain, especially when you take into consideration the high level of standard equipment. However, the new Clio, with its swanky new marketing, does not really fit our category this week and sits further up the automotive food chain than these offerings.
Nevertheless, Renault long ago realised the value of extending production of an older model and selling them off cheaply. Even the name indicates its vocation in life; this is the Clio Campus, practically designed for students!
Renault is currently offering £1,000 cashback on the entry-level model, making it ludicrously good value at just £6,975. For that, you get a decently-sized supermini for the price of a city car. You will pay a little at the pumps in comparison to the more frugal city cars, but Renault will also help to offset the extra cost of the insurance with a two years fixed price policy from just £12 per month. Tempting, isn't it?
