Lamborghinis are hardly thick on the ground, but the Italian supercar maker is launching its Ad Personam scheme to let customers go that little bit further down the road of individual choice. The new options will be launched at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this weekend.
Three cars are set to make the Lambo stand even more of a draw than normal. Two Murcielagos - a Coupé and a Roadster - are thought to be on their way, both finished in an eye-catching new Blu Cepheus shade of blue that Lamborghini says is inspired by polar ice.
A Gallardo Spyder is also set to arrest showgoers' eyes with its unusual matt brown paint and brown Alcantara suede leather interior. But the Gallardo is not the only car with a unique interior, as the Murcielago Roadster will have a natural hide interior made from the same leather as horse saddles that is intended to change colour as it ages.
Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann says: "Many of our customers will take advantage of this program as a tool for owning an even more exclusive Lamborghini." The price of being exclusively exclusive is unlimited and Lamborghini says it will always do its best to accommodate customer requests.
