Even at a motor show where the super rich have the ability to fulfil their supercar fantasies on toys from established brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti and even Pagani there are a number of manufacturers that hope to appeal to those wanting something completely different. And Tamantana thinks it has just the car. The ad Tramontana has been wheeled out a few times at motor shows now, but it gets no less extraordinary with familiarity, this in-line two seater aimed at those who want something a bit unusual to drive on the road and track.
Boasting that it's derived from Formula One and aviation technology, the Tramontana looks like a bizarre cross between a racer, a bobsleigh and a car. It's powered by a twin-turbo V12 producing 550bhp, which allied to its light weight means quite spectacular performance - Tramontana claiming a 0-62mph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of more than 186mph. Impressive as those numbers may be, you'll need a very healthy bank balance to achieve them. The Tramontana is only likely to appeal to a handful of car nuts who've already got every other exotic in their garage and want something a bit more bonkers. We'd put our money elsewhere, but what do we know?
