Lamborghini has promised to release a new model every year for the foreseeable future but it's unlikely that the Insecta concept pictured here will ever be seen. It's not an official Lamborghini concept; instead it's the vision of Romanian designer Iulian Bumbu - a design graduate who's interned at Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, Milan. Bumbu's interpretation of Lamborghini's future features the Italian firm's traditional geometric shapes integrated with a more organic form.
Bumbu claims to have taken inspiration for the Insecta's shape from insects' exoskeletons and body armour, the result being a different-looking Lamborghini but still one that's recognisable as a proper 'raging bull'. Based around the proportions and drivetrain of the Gallardo the Insecta is its designer's fantasy, but there's no denying that it'd look great on a Lamborghini showroom floor.
