Peugeot introduces new green range
Peugeot has added a new Blue Lion standard across its range to highlight its greenest models to customers.
Blue is clearly the colour for 'green' these days, with Peugeot joining a long list of manufacturers to use blue to signify its most environmentally friendly vehicles.
To qualify for the Blue Lion the car must have CO2 emissions of 130g/km or less, be manufactured in an ISO 14001 certificated production facility and be designed to be 95% recyclable at the end of its life.
The Blue Lion cars will not only help customers salve their environmental conscience, but also help them save money thanks to greater fuel efficiency and reduced taxes thanks to low emissions.
Some 50 models in the Peugeot range have emissions of 130g/km or less, 33 able to offer CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km.
It's not just the smaller cars in Peugeot's range that are able to reach Blue Lion standard, some 308 models offering family-sized motoring in a more environmentally friendly package.
