If you've heard the (justified) hype or driven the Suzuki Ignis Sport then you'll be looking forward to the Sport version of Suzuki's latest supermini. It doesn't compete in real terms with the latest crop of 200bhp+ super hatches, but it should still be taken seriously as a proper little hot hatch.

The Sport version is the first three-door model in the new Swift range and the car's distinctive styling is dolled up with a modest body kit including a roof spoiler and twin exhaust pipes. Complementing these items is the standard fitment of stylish 17-inch alloy wheels, which give the lowered chassis a sporty stance.

While maximum power is modest, at 123bhp, the 1.6-litre engine features variable valve timing and should encourage the driver to use the full rev range. 0-62mph is dispatched in 8.9 seconds and the top speed is 'only' 124mph, but you just can't ignore the £11,500 price tag; that's a lot of fun for not much money.
