Hyundai i-Blue
On current form you need to take everything
Hyundai says very seriously indeed. So when the Korean firm suggests that its i-Blue concept fuel-cell car demonstrates its commitment to have commercially available, mass production models in the next decade everyone should take notice. The i-Blue not only showcases a cleaner, greener future via hydrogen power, but also mixes in one of the other themes of the show - crossovers.
So the i-Blue is described by Hyundai as a 'D-segment 2+2 crossover utility vehicle (CUV).' However Hyundai chooses to describe it, there's no questioning its neat, futuristic lines. Developed at Hyundai's Design and Technical Centre in Chiba, Japan, the all-new platform is tailored to use Hyundai's third-generation fuel-cell technology, currently being developed at the company's Eco-Technology Research Institute in Mabuk, Korea. If its development is as rapid as Hyundai's recent growth, then that 10-year plan looks very likely indeed.
