Tesla Roadster, Swap your supercar for an electric one
In this company a £92,000 two-seat sports car might look a little incongruous, but the Tesla is the perfect car for those used to supercar pace but wanting to trim their overheads. With portfolios failing, even the wealthy are looking at their supercars and wondering whether they can justify the horrendous fuel bills they bring. Downsizing is a potential solution, but once you've experienced a supercar's acceleration then you'll not want to give it up.
Which is why Telsa's Roadster is perfect. The Lotus Elise-based sports car is able to reach 60mph in just 3.9 seconds - that's Lamborghini and Ferrari pace. Fuel costs aren't an issue as it runs on electricity, so it's just a few pence per mile to run. All that and a huge range that's plenty for getting its owners from the Square Mile to their penthouses in town, downsizing has never been so much fun. At least for the wealthy...
